About Entrainment

The human body naturally synchronizes its internal rhythms to external input.

This is called entrainment.

Research shows that repetitive percussive sounds, such as steady sustained drumming, can shift brainwaves from the fast beta (active thinking) to the slower alpha (relaxed) and theta (meditative) states.  Entrainment occurs whether a person is actively playing the drum, or passively listening to the drumming.

This down-shift in your brain waves can help lower blood pressure, decrease cortisol, boost immune system function, and usher in deep states of relaxation.
